A recent maintenance project conducted on the Alinta Wind Farm at Walkaway in Western Australia not only conformed to STE Solutions’ high standards … it brought the wind farm back online a day early.
What started as a routine 12-monthly maintenance program on the protection and substation finished with a host of previously unidentified faults fixed, and the turbines spinning ahead of schedule, putting the client back on track to meet their generation targets.
STE Solutions was engaged by Tenix and supplied two electricians, one commissioner and two trade assistants.
“We were engaged by Tenix to carry out the maintenance on the switchyard and switchgear and our team achieved a lot in a very short space of time,” Managing Director Ben Schwarz said.
“We have now built significant expertise in wind farms with experience on multiple wind farms in Western Australia and South Australia.
