Growing Together – The Future of Specialised Electrical Services

March 5th, 2014

Reinforcing our status as a leader in the field of specialised electrical services, we are excited to announce some new advances in direction, staffing and resources within our organisation.

With over 12 years’ experience in the High Voltage Electrical Industry following almost 30 years in the Water and Waste Infrastructure field, Graham Clark was the perfect choice for our new Business Development Manager. His knowledge and experience, together with his vision for expanding both the reach and quality of the services we provide will be invaluable, and we look forward to working with Graham to achieve these goals. His previous work in the High Voltage Industry has included Maintenance Service Management, Project Management and Procurement Management, so he comes to us with a wealth of knowledge which will steer our organisation’s expansion.

We have also engaged the services of a Safety, Quality & Environmental advisor, Mr Peter Crease who will be reviewing our current documentation with the view to attaining accreditation with TQCSI in: AS4801- Safety & OHS, AS18001 – WHS/OHS Management: ISO 9001 – Quality & ISO14001 – Environmental. Peter brings with him the knowledge and experience gained during the 12 years he has worked in WHSQE within the Construction & Infrastructure Industry in Australia and these attributes will assist STE Solutions strengthen its commitment to Safety, Quality and the Environment.

We also welcome our 4th year electrical apprentice, the enthusiastic and energetic Ben Speer. With us since July 2013, Ben has proven himself to be both an exceptionally fast learner and capable worker, and has provided great assistance to our High Voltage Electricians and Commissioning teams. His willingness to learn and positive attitude when facing new problems embody the culture of STE, and we are very pleased to have him on board.

STE Solutions has broadened the services it can provide to its clients with the engagement of a designer who has been working in the industry for a number of years and has, as a valued member of a team been responsible for the primary design component of a number of transmission and distribution substations throughout South Australia.

An alliance has been forged with Mr Graham Farr who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the High Voltage environment and the skills he possesses will be utilised to perform site management roles, HV Switching Operations and the services associated with the maintenance of HV Plant and Equipment.

Adding to our existing fleet of cars and trailers, we purchased two new commercial vehicles late last year. We hope to continue this trend as we move onward and upward within the specialised electrical services field, especially as our reputation within the industry has led to STE being in increasingly high demand. In fact, we were so busy as a result of the Holden shutdown works that we remained open during the Christmas break. Our entire team worked tirelessly through the holiday season and we thank them for their hard work and dedication.

STE Solutions have just been awarded their largest single contract to date the Vacuum Tap Diverter Project for Electranet Pty Ltd. This project involves the replacement of the existing Oiltap diverters type M with Vacutap Tap VM on three main power transformers, two each at the Morphett Vale East Substation and one at the Parafield Gardens West Substation. STE Solutions have been appointed the Primary contractor and will be working closely with Reinhausen Australia and Electranet to ensure the project is the success everyone is predicting.

We look forward to a promising year of business development and growth, as well as continued success in providing exceptional specialised electrical services.
