High Voltage Testing
We here at STE are always looking for options which will enable us to expand on the current services we provide to our clients.
The addition of a Doble M4100 Automated Insulation Analyser together with a Doble M5400 Sweep Frequency Response Analyser and a Doble M4110 Leakage Reactance Module to our ever growing asset register will allow us to offer a complete suite of HV tests to the owners and operators of HV electrical installations. These test units will be used by our highly experienced operators who have amassed ten years of experience in the field of HV testing. The tests which can performed on HV plant and equipment include, but are not limited to: Dielectric Loss Angle, Capacitance, Transformer Excitation, Capacitance Ratio, Leakage Reactance, Sweep Frequency and Insulation Resistance.
Tettex 2293 – 3 Phase Transformer Windings Analyser, this unit when used in conjunction with the Doble Analysers allows STE to perform the full suite of HV tests on power and distribution transformers and the results obtained will provide the owner/operator with a comprehensive overview of the operational status of the transformers. The 2293 uniquely combines winding resistance measurement, turns ration measurement, core demagnetisation, transformer type detection, magnetic balance and heat run tests.
We have also added a Phenix BK130/36 – 130kV Hi-Pot Test Unit to our list of equipment will allow our operators to conduct non-destructive tests on equipment insulation as well as insulated operator gloves, hot sticks and voltage detection equipment (Modiewarks).
Omicron CMC 256 plus – The acquisition of a second relay test unit ensures that we can meet the needs and requirements of our clients in a timely fashion. Gone are the days where testing of relays has had to be delayed as a result of our test equipment being utilised elsewhere, we are now in a position where we can be in two places at the same time. The CMC 256 plus is the ideal unit to commission and test all generations of protection and control relays, electromechanical, static, numerical and IEC 61850.
To inquire about these new testing services we are now offering or the hire of our testing equipment please contact one of our friendly staff, contact details are located on the contacts page of this website.
