ElectraNet GIS Refurbishment
STE Solutions are proud to be working in conjunction with GE / Alstom Grid Solutions to refurbish the GIS installations at the Northfield, Kilburn and East Tce Substations. The aim of this project is to extend the life expectancy of these installations and the component awarded to STE is the procurement and installation of all plant and equipment associated with the required remedial electrical install as well as the required outage planning and associated switching processes.
Moree Solar Farm
The Moree Solar Farm in northern NSW is a project that will generate enough electricity to power approximately 15,000 homes when full generation is achieved, the anticipated timeframe for full generation is February 2016.
The owner of this project is Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, or FRV a leading global operator of photovoltaic and thermosolar energy with more than 530MW fully developed world wide.
STE Solutions were engaged by the EPC contractor, Green Light Contractors Pty Ltd who are a wholly owned local subsidiary of Elecnor, a major international engineering firm to perform site acceptance testing of the medium and high voltage equipment installed at this major generating plant. This testing included but was not limited to, Thermographic Survey of all electrical connections, Earth Grid Testing including Step & Touch Potential, Input Current & Voltage at the PV Modules, Voltage Drop in the DC Cables, Verification of all the Protection Systems and the Mechanical and Electrical acceptance tests on the MV & HV Switchgear.
STE were proud to be associated with this project and have provided a service to our client that was on time and on budget resulting in a strong relationship being forged with both FRV and Green Light.
